Director of Coaching: Marcus Wood

  Marcus Wood is the head women's soccer coach at Hardin-Simmons University.  In 2010, he led his team to the Division III National Championship.  He also has led HSU to conference championships in seven of the last eight years and is undefeated in conference play for the last five years in a row.  He has the third most wins of any women’s coach in Division III soccer and the 7th most wins of any coach in women’s soccer in all divisions.
  Marcus also has a heart for helping kids and leads numerous coaching clinics and camps at HSU that are hugely popular with local and area teams. He travels every summer to help lead camps at other universities such as Texas A&M.  He was instrumental in starting Abilene Soccer Club more than 10 years and has continued to coach competitve teams successfully since then.
  Marcus holds a Premier National Coaching Diploma through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He earned his premier license in April of 2004 in Lilleshall, U.K.
